LCASLA is hosting an Advocacy Day on April 1, 2026, at the Louisiana State Capitol. Members and students will be in the rotunda to advocate for and bring visibility to our profession. Advocacy efforts will emphasize that licensure is key to protecting the health, safety, and welfare of Louisiana residents, that we are a designated STEM profession, and that our projects bring both economic and environmental benefits to the state. While our licensure is not currently under threat, we believe advocating for our profession will help legislators better understand our role in the built environment and potentially call upon us as future resources.
